Main steps: Batha Museum - Dar Pacha Tazi - CIPA - Palace Abdeslmen Moqri - Riad Driss Moqri - Dar Adiyel - Palace Mnebhi - Dar Ba Mohamed Chergui - Tannery Ain Azliten

This tour invites you to discover the various testimonies of more recent times of the medina, inviting you to stroll along shady streets lined with exceptional homes and many green spaces. The route begins by crossing the beautiful Jardin Jnane Sbil, privileged walking the Fassis and continues to the walled garden of the Batha Museum. A little further, the corner of an alley, sumptuous residences open their doors to the walker, like the Palace Abdeslam Moqri, Driss Moqri Riad Dar Adiyel and Palace Mnebhi. Reflecting the architectural styles of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, these living spaces dignitaries in the Alawite dynasty, have now been renovated for some in combination (Fez Saiss), learning center (CIPA) or restaurant (Palace Mnebhi) . The circuit, after crossing the streets and Talâa Sghira Talâa Kbira, ends in Ain Azliten (source Azliten) where there are many riads, surrounded by greenery, traditional tanning and a flea market.

Garden Jnane Sbil

Green lung of the Medina, it is historically the meeting place of Fassis, walk or picnic, this vast shady park provides a space of choice. Decorated with many species such giant bamboo, pine, lemon myrtle and orange trees, it also has a large waterhole. Freshness and tranquility will be waiting for you. During your walk, you might spot a waterwheel, wooden bucket wheel once operated by a stream, present in the park. Witnessed the evolution may be subjected green spaces, Jnane Sbil become imperial park in the nineteenth century, will then open to the public in the twentieth century.

Batha Museum

Between the pleasure of the discovery of a remarkable dwelling and freshness of its garden, a museum with remarkable rooms will also open its doors. Building from the nineteenth century, the palace, consisting of two separate buildings connected by a set of courses and gardens (riads), representing more than half of the total area of the palace. With a central fountain, wide aisles divided the space into four large parcels embellished with various species: cypress, palm trees, walnut trees, myrtle and much more ... Intended for royal audiences and reception of distinguished guests, gardens brought freshness and pleasure. Today still nice, take a few minutes after the museum devoted to Moroccan traditional arts to stroll there.

Abdeslam Moqri palace - Riad Driss Moqri

Bourgeois residences of exception, these two residences combine the charm of their gardens in their fine architecture. Respectively built in the early twentieth century and the late nineteenth century, these homes highlight the importance given to the time to green spaces, which are like architecture, fed the aspirations of their sponsors and taste moment. Source freshness, they are also undoubtedly a source of great refinement. On Andalusian inspiration, plant species mingle with fountains and ornaments with tiles and carved wood. Furthermore offering panoramic views of the city, these homes will open their doors for a moment of tranquility and relaxation.
